MMY believes strongly in working to enhance the communities in which our Associates live and work. We are committed to giving of corporate time and resources in order to make an impact that goes far beyond the services we offer. Throughout each year, MMY supports various organizations through monetary donations and now through our corporate Day of Giving (DOG) program.
The inaugural DOG day for staff in the Indianapolis area was Wednesday, July 15. On that day, we closed the MMY corporate office to volunteer at Gleaner’s Food Bank of Central Indiana. Associates gathered to lend time and talents in the fight against hunger; working hard in the Gleaner’s warehouse to inspect, clean, label and ready canned food for shipment to food pantries across central Indiana.
Staff not stationed in Indianapolis were invited to volunteer in their community some time during the month of July at an organization of their choosing to allow all MMY team members an opportunity to support their communities. Associates chose to volunteer at organizations meaningful to them, like Meals On Wheels, Ozark Homeward Bound, and the Humane Society in communities across the US.
Suzanne Thomas, an MMY Senior Consultant, said, “I have been very, very blessed by volunteering for multiple nonprofit groups and would encourage all colleagues to make it a part of their lives. We have the ability to make a difference in the world around us.”
